The St. Peter and St. Paul Fortress (Russian: Петропавловская крепость) is the original citadel of St. Petersburg, Russia.

Designed by Domenico Trezzini and founded in 1703. The fort houses various remarkable buildings, including the Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul, where are buried the tsars from Peter the Great to Nicholas II and his family.
