Spring flowers add a splash of colour to the edge of the picturesque village of Newton-in-Bowland, nestling in the heart of the Forest of Bowland in rural Lancashire.
This scene features
The Parker's Arms, one of the mostly highly-lauded and applauded gastropubs in England, where excellent local ingredients are celebrated and showcased by chef Stosie Madi; the elegant Georgian manor house Newton Hall; and the road leading south across the River Hodder towards Waddington and Clitheroe.
The array of red and yellow tulips, bluebells and white harebells, and the cherry blossom all caught my eye and prompted me to shoot this panorama… and almost made up for the fact I arrived too late for lunch at the pub. Better luck next time…
