Schaafheim is located in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district about 12 km northeast of Dieburg and 15 km west of Aschaffenburg. South of Schaafheim, on a knoll, stands the 22 m high watchtower, which the Archbishop of Mainz Berthold von Henneberg had built in 1492. In 1992 the tower was completely restored.
