Soda Rock

Ch'ichu'yam-bam (also known as Soda Rock, Dog Rock, Lady of the Creek, Chuchuya or Tsu'tuyem) is located across Indian Creek near Indian Falls, California & is on the national register of historic places.  This unique geologic wonder consists of limestone deposits, stalactites and exposed travertine and can be found along Indian Creek, near Crescent Mills in Plumas County, California. This landmark plays an important role in the cultural heritage and creation beliefs of the Maidu people, and represents a place of healing.  The surrounding area was burned by the Dixie Fire, which scorched 963,309 acres & is the second largest in recorded California history.
