This panorama shows the beautiful interior of the 18th century Baroque St. Urus cathedral in the city of Solothurn, Switzerland. It was begun by Gaetano Matteo Pisoni in 1762 and completed by Paolo Antonio Pisoni in 1773. The interior has stuccoes by Francesco Pozzi and canvasses by Domenico Corvi.
The cathedral is in the bautiful old citycenter of Solothurn, a short trip from Basel and Bern in Switzerland.
This gigapixel panorama was created in high resolution HDR using a total of 312 photos with a fixed length 50mm lens (3 layers of 104 photos each). The resulting tonemapped image is 54,092 by 27,046 or 1.4 gigapixel. You are encouraged to zoom in and look around in order to fully expore the image.
