St Buryan Church, Cornwall

The largely 15th century church of St Buryan near Lands End in Cornwall is thought to have been built on the site of a much earlier church founded in 930AD by King Athelstan. The nave and side aisles are wagon roofed.

The rood screen was reconstructed in 1910 from the original late 15th century pieces, which still retain much of their original paint and gilding. The rood loft stairs are in the south wall behind the screen.
