Damascus Hidjaz Station
Hidjaz Station was built at the end of 19th beginning 20th century and was part of the ambitious Baghdad Rail Line which should connect Europe via Istanbul (Constantinopel) Syria/ Jordan and Mecca. Due to the start of WW1 the line only reached as far as Jordan. This station is since a couple of years out of operation. Trains from Damascus now starts at Kadam Station a few km south of the center of Damascus.
