St. Catherine's -- Shrine of the Miraculous Medal

St. Catherine's, on East Chelten Avenue in Gertmantown, is the world headquarters of an association dedicated to distributing the Miraculous Medal whose design was revealed to St. Catherine in Paris in the 1800s during an apparition of the Blessed Virgin.

It is also one of the prettiest Italianate churches in Philadelphia.  Here we see it while it was being repainted in April 2008.
