Unirii Square Timisoara by night

Union Square (Unirii) is the oldest square in Timisoara, in Baroque style. Originally named after the name Stephen Losonczy, killed by the Turks in 1552 when the fortress was conquered by the Turks. It is also known and named "The Dome Square". The name Union Square was given in 1919 because there were Romanian troops stopped coming in Timişoara.

The Square hosts major tourist attractions such as the Roman Catholic Dome, baroque palace, the Cathedral Serbian, House Brück, Nikolaus Lenau High School, Holy Trinity monument, fountain water, etc..

Nowadays the market is a meeting place of young people. Summer is dominated by terraces. Winter, numerous cafebars expect to step inside.
