View over Neist Point, Skye

The clifftop viewpoint from An t-Aigeach (The Stallion) giving excellent views over Moonen Bay to Waterstein Head.

Neist Point is the most westerly point of the Isle of Skye. The area on the Duirinish peninsula, is renowned for its dramatic rock formations and views out over the Minch to the Western Isles. The high sea cliffs are also the location for one of Scotland’s most famous lighthouses.

The Neist Point lighthouse was built by David A Stevenson for the Northern Lighthouse Board in 1909. It was converted to automatic operation in 1990.
