Church of St John the Baptist, Small Hythe, Kent
England

St John the Baptist near Tenterden is a rare example of a Tudor red brick church. It was built in 1516-17 during the reign of Henry VIII when Smallhythe was a prosperous shipbuilding town. The layout is unusual in that it is a single east-west block with stepped gable ends rather than built in the form of a cruciform.
