The Roman baths in Hissarya are among the three largest and best-preserved ancient spa complexes in the world, along with a similar sites in England and Algeria. Archaeologists in Hissarya continue to uncover their secrets. After discovering a sanctuary of nymphs, they now hope to find statues of the god of health Asclepius. The thermal baths in Hissarya were a center for balneotherapy in the Roman Empire before the end of the 3rd century. This is shown by the latest excavations of archaeologists. They are currently investigating the southwestern part of the site, where they suspect that the vestibule or dressing rooms of the Roman baths were located.
