Lexu (hearty talk) Hall was built at the beginning of the 15th Century as an ancestral hall for the Wang's. The original front arch over the gateway basically has survived; the girder is of distinct Ming style; components such as the lune girder, are all exquisitely sculpted, and endowed with lofty artistic feeling. Lexu (hearty talk) Hall and the Moon Pond together constitutes "The Moon Pond & The Lotus In The Wind", one of the eight scenes in Hongcun.
