Francz Josehps Hohe is a very busy place in the summer. It offers a beautiful view of the greatest Glacier of the eastern part of the alps (Pasterze) and Austrias highest peak. (Grossglockner) From here one can either take the "Gletserbahn" down to the Pasterze, or go on a days hike on the Gamsgrubenweg. After returning to the parking lot, one can have a nice meal at the restaurant located next to the visitor center, and enjoy the magnificent view of the surrounding peaks. Few years ago a part of the parking lot was used to expand the original visitors center, and also parking places before the building were removed, and converted into a walking area.
