Queenstown is one of the major tourist resorts in New Zealand and the most expensive place to live in New Zealand. It is located at the shores of Lake Wakatipu. William Gilbert Rees converted his wool shed into a hotel: the Queen’s Arms – the building was greatly improved and is now known under the name Eichardt's Private Hotel.
