Mill Hill overlooks the Adur valley where the river winds between the rolling Sussex Downs past Lancing College and Shoreman Airport down to the Port of Shoreham.  The hill is a favourite for radio controlled model planes, which find the Southwesterly breezes ideal for slope soaring.  In the far distance the English Channel can be seen gleaming on the horizon, with the village of Lancing (the largest village in the UK) to the West of the airport and the town of Worthing in the far distance.  South is the town of Shoreham with its port hidden in the haze.
