The next morning (the third day of the trip) we went quite early. Had to drive through the famous snow-covered road - 48 kilometers at an altitude of 1400 metres, the highest mountain road in Scandinavia. In winter the road is closed - layer snow is up to five meters, clearing impossible, because it is pointless to immediately enters and falls again. Solve the Norwegians have found characteristic of them: broke through the rock 24-kilometer tunnel again, the longest in Scandinavia. Now the road became more of a tourist attraction, the snow on the edges of lies until the beginning of August. On the road there are five observation points, the first is in the end of the serpentine ascent into the mountains from the town of Aurland, with wonderful view of the fjord.
