Embankment of the Northern Dvina River - one of the main streets of the city of Arkhangelsk. Stretches along the right bank of the Northern Dvina River from the bridge to the Severodvinsk Kuznechevskaya bridge.
A favorite place of citizens in many ways. Traditional place of festivals during the summer holidays the city (City Day, the Day of the Navy).
In June, the promenade becomes a traditional venue for the Festival of street theater. Creative teams, visitors to the city, give their views on the waterfront, as well as in other places: parks, squares, and so on. [1]
The numbering of buildings should not be the general rule, even and odd numbers of houses located on both sides of the street. The river side of the promenade is left in the direction of increasing numbers (which coincides with the direction of flow of the Dvina), urban side - right. Most of the buildings are on the city side of the embankment. The direction of the street first Western, then it turns to the north and in the end - in the north-east, covering the entire center of Arkhangelsk.
