Marbach at the Neckar

In Marbach am Neckar, the birthplace of Friedrich Schiller (10.11.1759-09.05.1805) was in the 15th century built on the site of a Roman basilica a new church in late Gothic style. Originally planned als a basilica again, it was executed as a staggered hall and is now one of the most important hall curches in southern Germany. Special features are the fine late Gotic net vault and the sand stone pulpit from 1480/1490.
