The Basilica of the Fourteen Saints near Bad Staffelstein in Upper Franconia is one of the most famous pilgrimage churches in Germany. The exterior is dominated by the representative façade with the elegantly protruding central part and the two high towers. The appearance is created with its proportions on distance vision. Built on plans by Balthasar Neumann, the church is considered one of the most impressive buildings of the Baroque era.
