The "Bdintsi" square in the city of Vidin comprises the Vidin Municipality Building - the tall building, the Court Hall, a library and a community center. The war memorial is about the third infantry regiment of Bdin. Bdin stands for the slavonic name of Vidin. This infantry has taken part in six wars from 1884 to 1944. Vidin used to have the glory of an unconquerable town in the ancient Bulgarian history. Оne can see behind the monument an ancient fortress gate. There are many of these artefacts inside the city. After the construction of the fortress "Kale" no one was able to boast for having captured or entered (except as a friend or guest) in Vidin.
