Burney Falls [1]
California

Burney Creek falls 129 feet here at Burney Falls in McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park, California.  While the visible waterfalls in the center, underground springs also fall through the nearby cliffs as it undercuts into the looser cobbled strata below the higher lava cliffs, creating a ribboning of lush beauty within the canyon.  The falls are a popular visiting location w/ some coming for the photos or to experience the cool mist on a hot summer day, even take a swim within the pool below.  President Theodore Roosevelt, who visited the falls, declared it as the Eighth Wonder of the World.
