Cathedral Of Palma De Mallorca And Palacio De La Almudaina
Mallorca

The gothic Cathedral of Palma de Mallorca is build on the site of a preexisting Arab mosque in 1230, the cathedral was finished in 1601.

Build  from golden limestone and designed in the French Gothic style, the cathedral is 121 meter long and 55 meter wide.

The  Palacio de la Almudaina which is overlooking the bay of palma ,was orginally a citadel built by the Moors  and was converted after the conquest by Catalan about the 13th century to a palace for the Mallorcan Kings The citadel had a solid outer wall that sheltered a rectangular building complete with five battlemented towers.
Today it is a museum containing art such as Flemish tapestries, an excellent collection of paintings, and oriental carpets.
The palace is still used by the ing of Spain to receive official visitors.
