Cave church of Sta Maria de Valverde
Northern Spain

The church of Santa Maria de Valverde has two naves separated by square pillars and roof like a barrel vault. In the nave opposite the entrance, there are five cameras, one used as baptistery has a monolithic baptismal font who has lost much of its decoration.

It has been assumed that it could be two parallel churches, the most primitive of semicircular apse where Today is the baptismal font and the other more modern with triple-header, which were then joined and expanded to its present form.
