Church of the Nativity of Christ
Russia
Novosti is a village in the Chkalovsky district. The stone church, in honor of the Nativity of Christ, was built in 1828, four-altar. It was closed in 1936, and services were discontinued. Until the early 1960s, everything inside the temple was preserved intact icons, iconostasis, sacred objects, as well as all the rest of the decoration. The church was locked, and one of the residents of Novinok had the key to it. However, in the 1960s, the Church of the Nativity of Christ was looted in the wake of the looting of churches: icons and other church utensils were stolen and disappeared without a trace. The temple was empty. According to the order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000 No. 5-OD "On the assignment of religious objects to objects of historical and cultural heritage", the village Church of the Nativity of Christ was assigned to objects of historical and cultural heritage. The dating of the object is 1828.
