Fairlie, Memorial to James Mckenzie, View 2
New Zealand
Being the gateway to the Mackenzie Basin, Fairlie lies on the main road connecting Christchurch and Queenstown. So it is of some touristic importance. Notable is the sculpture of James Mckenzie – a most distinguished sheep thief, outlaw and folk heroe.
