Hanging Flume overlook on the Dolores River
USA
The "hanging flume" was constructed for nineteen miles along the cliffs of the Dolores River Canyon to provide water for a hydraulic gold mining operation. It is hard to see from this viewpoint, just a line of wrought iron hangers bolted into the cliff.
