Kitzingen - Leaning Tower (Falterturm)
Franconie

Kitzingen is one of the oldest towns in the district of Lower Franconia. A landmark of this city is the tower "Falterturm". The tower, once a guard tower and part of the outer city wall, which was built from 1469 to 1496. The tower has a height of 52m. Striking is the crooked hood of the tower. Reason for the inclination of the cupola is a sagging of the roof timbers.
