Lauf an der Pegnitz is a town in the central Franconian part of the Franconian Switzerland. We are standing on the Pegnitz bridge. The bridge was again blocked ten years after its total renovation (2006). The reused cobblestones had loosened. Today, the bridge carries a pavement of sawn granite stone with straight edges directly from the quarry in a solid mortar bed.
