This is the dividing point between Old Town Scottsdale and the Civic Center Mall. Old Town has a western atmosphere with plenty of restaurants and shops to explore. Take the park path into the Civic Center Mall and you will find Scottsdale's Historical Museum and a popular location for many local outdoor events.
