1957 wurde die Kabinenbahn Rüfikopf in Betrieb genommen und somit entstand eine Skiverbindung zwischen Lech und Zürs. Dank dieser neuen Skiliftanlage entstand auch der berühmte Skirundfahrt „Der Weiße Ring“, der durch Lech, Zürs, Zug und Oberlech verläuft.
