Rain at the launch pad
Kazakhstan

Rain is a hindrance to photography, so preparation is required. However, the shooting at the cosmodrome also has its own specifics: the equipment need to be installed on the launch pad at least one hour before launch.

All the days ahead of the launchof the Proton rocket, there was a good sunny weather at Baikonur Cosmodrome, but starting from the morning on the day of the launch, heavy rain began. Arriving at the launch pad, we hid in the bunker in order to wait out the rain. Time passed, but the rain did not stop. A few minutes before the evacuation, I thought: "not for that I overcame 4000km to leave here without of making any shoots" and went to install the equipment under the rain.

As a result, everything finished well, the equipment remained in working condition, and I got a good shoots.
