The Béara Peninsula is located in the south west of Ireland – between Bantry Bay and a bay called Kenmare River. It is famous for its scenic landscapes. The tourist trail going round the peninsula is called Ring of Béara. The house and the gardens are privately owned. The gardens are open to the public and well worth a visit. On 60 acres of land you can walk 12 km of paths regularly opening to very scenic views. Make sure you come by the tree ferns. We enjoyed a very good lemonade and home baked cake at the house.
