Ruins of the nave of St. Andrews Cathedral, Fife
Scotland

St. Andrew's Cathedral is the largest medieval church to be built in Scotland. It was finally dedicated in 1318 after taking around 150 years to complete. After being vandalised during the Scottish Reformation it was abandoned and fell into disrepair. Efforts to preserve it began in the 19th century and today it is a scheduled monument cared for by Historic Environment Scotland.
