Storebjorn
Norway

Storebjørn (2222 m/7290 ft) is the highest peak in the area around the Leirbreen and Smørstabbreen glaciers. It has gotten its name “Big Bear” because the south side of the mountain can look like a huge bear. From the peak one has an excellent view to large parts of Jotunheimen National Park and the Sognefjellet and Hurrungane areas. On clear days the highest mountain in Norway, Galdhøpiggen (2469 m/8100 ft), can be seen in the northeastern direction.
