Tengutaki falls in autumn
Tama

Tenguraki falls is located in the middle of Mazukari ridge at 500 m AMSL.  The Tengutaki-falls is one of the symbols of the Hinohara village, which is the only one village in Tokyo metropolis except the islands area.  You can see the falls on the real-time live camera in the site here.  To go to the falls, we must walk on the logging road and a trail for 30 min. or more. The height of the falls is about 20 m. In some paper, it has been written as 38 m, but this is the sum of five stages of the falls. We can normally see the largest one, the height is about 20 m. You can see the falls from a point near the central Hinoraha village. Ayataki falls is about 20 min.-walk from this falls.

More About Tama

Tama area is the name of the western part of Tokyo Metropolis.  It consists of 26 cities, 3 towns and a village.  A lot of people (about 4 milion) live in a eastern half part of the area.  However, there are many mountains in the western part of Tama area, and there are very little flat land.  Many hiking spots are in the western area, so you can enjoy walking on the trail, camping, and so on.  If you see the beautiful mountain scene, you may not believe this is also in Tokyo.
