Ireland

Dr James Roche Verling was a British Army surgeon who in 1818/19 was the medical attendant to Napoleon Bonaparte during his exile on St Helena.

The Old Church Cemetery, also known as Clonmel cemetery, in Cobh is also the last resting place of 193 victims of the RMS Lusitania, a passenger ship which was sunk by a German U-boat in 1915.
