Veithöchsheim - Rococo Garden, Chronos and Amor
Franconie

Veitshöchheim is am small village on the river Main near Würzburg. You can travel by boat from Würzburg to Veitshöchheim, where you can visit one of the most beautiful Rococo gardens in Europe: The Garden of the Rococo Palace of the prince-bishop of WÜrzburg. Both the palace and the town hall of Veitshöchheim have been built by the famous architect Balthasar Neumann. You can see the statue of the Greek god of time, Chronos, cutting the wings of the god of love, Eros - quite a grim statement to be found in a Rococo garden.
