View from the summerhouse at Laugharne Castle, Carmarthen
Wales

Located in the grounds of the Norman-built Laugharne Castle, this summerhouse, with its scenic views of the Taf Estuary, is where Dylan Thomas wrote 'Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog'.

Dylan Thomas is considered one of the greatest writers of the 20th century. During the 1930s and 40s, he shared the writing retreat with friend, supporter and novelist, Richard Hughes.
