Volkach, St. Bartholomäus, Outer View 1
Franconie

Volkach is a small town in Franconia located on the river Main. Volkach is famous for its vineyards and it did achieve some wealth from wine growing and - in later days - tourism. So you can see many very beuatiful buildings in Volkach in different styles: Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo ... St. Bartholomäus, built in the 15th century, was completely remodeled in the Baroque style in the 18th century. This work was financed through many donations by the citizens of Volkach.
