Behind the Glen Canyon Dam, the inflow of the Colorado river and its tributaries into the canyon country of southern Utah and northern Arizona creates the massive Lake Powell. Here at an overlook just over the Arizona border, one gains a sweeping view of Wahweap bay and marina, Navajo mountain in the clouds to the northeast, the coal-fired Navajo powerplant to the east, and the upper rim of the dam, the bridge and Page, Arizona to the southeast.
