It is located 9 km to the northwest of Yalnızcabağ Neighborhood, 42 km to the west of Mut District, Mersin. Its acropolis is on the hill on the left of the road to Değirmen Site and its necropolis is on the northwest of the hill, on the right side of the road. The hill that the city was located on is called Balapoğlu or Balabolu. Being founded during the Roman Period, the city was always an autonomous center thanks to its geographical and strategic importance. Later on, it was ruled by the Byzantine Empire, and by Isuaria at times. The ruins of the city church lie on top of the hill. The necropolis area starts right on the outskirts of the acropolis. The grave types here are varied. The sarcophagi are all decorated.
