Eye of Alabama Arch [1]

The Eye of Alabama Arch is located in the Alabama Hills west of Lone Pine, California.  The area consists of large jumbled piles of granite boulders w/ the grandiose Sierra Nevada backdrop, scene of many Western films.  This small arch forms a nice window to the west w/ a view of the spired Mt. Whitney (elev. 14,494') on the right side, the highest point in California & Continental US.
