Amalfi Coast

Classified as World Heritage by UNESCO, the slopes of the towns of Amalfi, Positano, Ravello, Minori and Maiori reserve a breathtaking beauty of any traveler. Just 56km to 280km from Rome and Naples in southern Italy, the Amalfi Coast route offers views full of green cliffs lined with colorful houses in the best Byzantine style, surrounded by a stunning azure blue sea.

When it comes to destinations, the wonder is a natural feeling. The highway access is by car or by buses leaving daily from Salerno (27km to site), Naples and Rome.

According to the author of the "1000 Places to Know Before You Die" (record sales ranking by the New York Times), Patricia Schultz, the small Amalfi was once the center of the oldest and one of the most powerful maritime republics of Italy. "At the beginning of the ninth century, the microporto the entrance of a great ravine dominated trade with the East, which explains both the Moorish influence, as the dome of the city, the Cathedral of Sant'Andrea."

Ravello is 330m above Amalfi and its lovely gardens two must-see attractions: the Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone. The romance of the place reflects the saying in Italian that says "the poets go to Ravello to die."

Scenario films as the romantic comedy "Only You", Positano is the holder of an inspiring beauty - ideal for a honeymoon, to hotels that have good infrastructure and unforgettable views. Worth tasting the typical and delicious lemon liqueur sold in souvenir shops and mass with fresh clams and shrimp served in restaurants.

In Minori and Maiori, you can appreciate, as in all other cities, the sea calm and filled with panoramic views and nice hotels.

In the mountains the route, are also planted terraces of lemon trees, olive trees, oaks and pines. From May to September, the weather is mild (except July, when temperatures rise and may reach 35 degrees).
