The Basaltic prisms of HUASCA are certainly a natural wonder, consisting of the formation of huge geometric columns on the sides and bottom of the canyon, known by the name Alcholoya, where the waters from the springs of dumped Canyon Exhacienda of San Miguel Regla and dam San Antonio forming various waterfalls that seem to play with them forming a slight breeze that touch becomes a magical experience authentic and direct contact with nature. Giant columns of more than 40 m. height geometric shape of a singular beauty, unique in the world, better known as PRISM basaltic O BASALTO PRISMATICO derived from igneous rock outcrop. The origin of these formations, dates back to rapid cooling of lava during a spill million years ago, which was poured at the bottom of the canyon.
Each column is between 80 cm. in diameter and several meters high accommodated vertically, five or six sides, clearly defined joints between them, highlighting the color from gray to black of these geometric monuments.
