Van Long swamland is located in Gia Van commune, Ninh Binh province. Away 90km south from Hanoi. Van Long is called 'Ha Long on land in Ninh Binh'. The area cover nearly 3,500km2.

There are hundred of boats in the wharf, visitor can take a ride on a boat to discover the swamland. The ticket and boat fee are 2 $US/person for a trip around 2 hours.
