龙川：
龙川村，又称大坑口村，距绩溪县城约10公里，是一个古老的徽州村落。由于特殊的地理环境和历史文化渊源，形成了龙川独特的自然和人文景观。
龙川，历史悠久，山环水绕，景色秀丽。龙川村地形如靠岸之船，东耸龙须山，紧靠登源河，南有龙川汇集，西偎凤冠秀峰，北歭崇山峻岭，独具特色。
据《安徽省绩溪县地名录》说，龙川村最早叫荆林里，是因为村庄附近多黄荆灌木丛，故名。由于穿流小村庄的小河叫龙川而称龙川村的。《中国龙川》记载，每当山洪暴发之际，龙川村东边的登源河水面超过龙川溪水水面达一尺之高，居然不倒灌入小溪河里来，人们认为是有龙把住了河口，所以才叫龙川。在封建社会，“龍”字只能皇帝专用，为了避“皇帝”之讳，又从《庄子•天运》的“在谷满谷，在坑满坑”之义，引申出坑满必有口出，龙川中的龍出了龙川河口，由登源河进入新安江，出东海以至遨游天下，必能干出大事业来，就取了一个很俗的土名叫“坑口”。又因为欲与下游瀛洲村（也称油坑村）相区别，就叫“大坑口”村，取先入为大之意。
