Rheinfelden (Swiss German. Rhyfälde, ɾi ː fæl.də) [2] is a town and municipality in Switzerland and capital of the district. It is located on the Upper Rhine on the border with Germany in the west of the region Fricktal, on the eastern edge of the metropolitan area of Basel. Rheinfelden is historical, economic and social ties associated with the city of Rheinfelden (Baden) on the opposite side of the Rhine German. With about 11,000 inhabitants, is the sixth largest city of Rheinfelden in the canton of Aargau.
