Dunnet Head Lighthouse , Caithness , Scotland
Scotland

Being the most northerly point on the UK mainland , Dunnet Head is an obvious place to build a lighthouse .

The lighthouse at Dunnet Head has been here since 1831 along with some remains of a WWII fortifications & radar station that was used to protect Scapa Flow .

From here there are stunning views of the island Stroma to the east and the Orkney's to the north .
