At the runway threshold of Elvington airfield, the former WWII RAF bomber squadron base. Being prepared for possible cold war nuclear bomber deployment, it has one of the longest runways in Britain. The field is now in private ownership, and home to all kinds of exhibitions. I recorded this panorama during the 2015 Guinness world wheelie competitions, where motor cyclists ride their bikes a full kilometer on one wheel, trying to reach an as fast as possible top speed.
